Literacy Support Services: We provide Literacy support to improve literacy skills in phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and orthography. Laura is trained in Orton-Gillingham, and other multisensory literacy programs like Wilson Reading and Lively Letters.
Mathematics Support Services: We specialize in foundational mathematics skills using multisensory approaches to develop strong number sense. Students struggling in math often need multiple forms of instruction to understand and solidify concepts such as visual, tactile and kinesthetic learning.
Executive Function Support Services: We provide executive function coaching for students who struggle to develop their own learning and study routines. We support students in learning about their unique learning style, and how to apply exececutive function skills in self control/emotional regulation, memory, time management, and organizational skills.
Essay and Writing Support Services: We provide admission essay support, and more generalized writing skill support.

Classroom Observations: We will provide in person classroom observations in the Atlanta area. These observations will allow us to get a sense for how the child is functioning in the classroom setting. We will then communicate and collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to provide written summary for the parents and a plan of support.
Service Coordination: It can be a challenge to manage multiple theraputic services for your child. We will provide service coordination where we will check in with service providers regularly and provide a written summary of what strategies or tools are being used to support the child and the goals they are working towards in each domain. We serve as the middleman to connect classroom teachers, support specialists, therapists, and parents to provide a comprehensive and collaborative plan of action for the child.
Behavior Support Services: We can provide either virtual coaching or in person coaching to support with challenging behaviors both at home and in the classroom. Behavior supports are varied, and not one single method works for each child. Through communication with the child’s caregivers, teachers, and other individuals working with the child, we will assess and tease out which plan of action is best suited to both the child and their family preferences.

Behavior/Inclusion Support for Teachers:
We provide classroom observations in the school setting and provide recommendations for inclusion, adapting the environment and learning materials, as well as strategies for promoting positive behaviors.
It can be difficult for teachers to navigate children with different learning styles or challenging behaviors when they are responsible for a large group of students. This is often not the fault of the school or teacher, but rather requires understanding that additional support is often needed in classroom settings.
Teachers learn best through partnership, collaboration, and trusting support from those who have experienced the challenges themselves. If your child is struggling in their current setting, speak with your school about collaborating with Bloom Bright Consulting.
